School districts and boces are required to conduct an annual professional performance review (appr) on teachers and principals, resulting in a single composite effectiveness rating. Beginning in 2025-26 a new law takes effect that substantially changes the appr process. Nysut elt provides a program that focuses on training educators on the necessary requirements of this teacher evaluation process.
