At BRIDGEGOOD we are more than a design studio; we are a movement for social impact. Our mission is to expand access to technology create pathways to meaningful careers and empower adults 18 and older to drive change. We focus on cultivating skilled professionals and empathetic design leaders who are prepared to make a lasting global impact.

Programs

Inspire Oakland equips more than 1,300 under-resourced students annually through a 4-month career readiness program that includes design training resume building and professional development. Since its founding Inspire Oakland has reached more than 16,800 students generating $69.5M in career and job training ROI collectively. The initiative combines workforce preparation with a regionwide design challenge serving up to 50 schools each year. Participants gain skills in Adobe Photoshop and related tools along with career counseling from business and technology professionals. The design challenge invites students to create billboards and new media exploring the theme What about Oakland inspires you? The top 20 participants earn recognition and paid opportunities while the top six secure commercial media placements generating over 90 million impressions worldwide.

The Inspiration Awards BRIDGEGOODs annual gala honors leadership community impact and the power of design for social good. The event celebrates students graduates and volunteers while recognizing three Bay Area changemakers advancing innovation technology business and education. Past honorees include leaders from Google Amazon Golden State Warriors Cal State East Bay and Disney. Research shows diverse teams are 33% more likely to outperform peers underscoring the importance of equity in leadership. Since July 31 2009 BRIDGEGOOD has served more than 16,800 students delivering $69.5M in career and job training ROI collectively. The gala demonstrates how diversity strengthens individuals organizations and communities.
