Programs

Killer Whale Conservation - Oceans Initiative has research projects on all three threats to the endangered southern resident killer whales - not enough salmon, too much noise, and contaminants. We conduct a land-based survey to assess the impact of vessel and acoustic mitigation measures.
Sustainable Fisheries - Oceans Initiative carries out research to inform sustainable fisheries practices such as bycatch reduction.
