Fair wages: helped to gather petition signatures for a fair wages ballot measure.
Democracy: ohio citizen action actively worked to pass a statewide redistricting anti-gerrymandering constitutional amendment in the november general election. Our work consisted of field and phone canvassing, direct voter contact including education and persuasion, handing out and leaving behind literature for redistricting constitutional amendment, and sponsoring paid ads on social media. Oca additionally communicated to our members and supporters through email, member mail, and literature.
The organization conducted independent expenditure communications, both for and against candidates, in the u.s. Senate and house of representatives in the november 2024 election. These communications include producing, printing literature, and disseminating the literature through a paid canvassing operation. The organization also produced and disseminated digital and social media independent expenditure communications in those races. They also made endorsements of candidates in the state level legislative races, and communicated those endorsements to their membership through email and other electronic and digital means.
