Promotion of professional standards in field of hematology and oncology

Advocacy and policy engagement - ohio hematology oncology society engaged in state and federal advocacy to advance policies impacting oncology care. The society worked with the ohio department of insurance and u.s. Department of labor on reimbursement changes, participated in capitol hill days, and collaborated with national organizations. Advocacy focused on prior authorization reform, biomarker testing mandates, off-label drug coverage, pbm regulation, white bagging, and co-pay accumulator bans.

Membership expansion & industry collaboration - ohio hematology oncology society expanded its membership to over 220 oncology providers and more than 500 staff contacts. The society engaged new institutions statewide and partnered with 37 corporate sponsors. Ohio hematology oncology society created a corporate partner education compendium and a reimbursement managers directory to help sponsors connect with the right contacts at practices, enhancing communication and educational access.
