Programs

2 programs

Spay-neuter assistance: ohlone humane society offers vouchers to the public in fremont, newark and union city who trap feral cats to get them spayed or neutered and then returned to their original location. Ohlone humane society also provided trapping assistance to the public on a limited basis, trapping over 140 days last year to help trap-neuter-return 269 feral cats to the community. Ohs also provides vouchers for qualified low income families to get their pets spayed or neutered. Our co-pay vouchers help facilitate the spay and neuter of several hundred domestic animals and feral cats each year.

Wildlife rehabilitation center: the ohs wildlife rehabilitation center cared for more animals than in the year prior due to continued closures of other centers in the area. The ohs wildlife rehabilitation center, located in newark, ca is an extraordinary place for people who love wild animals of all kinds. The wildlife are released back into their native, local habitat or transferred to other programs providing extended care. We treat approximately 800 wild birds, mammals and reptiles form 160 different species each year.
