Mission
The okanogan county child development association (occda) is a community based non-profit organization designed to support pregnant women, children and their families with high quality program options that provide prenatal and early childhood education. Through a holistic approach, we strive to build on individual and family strengths utilizing best practices, program resources and community services.
Programs
3 programs
The early childhood education and assistance program (eceap) provides children ages 3-5 and their families with education and activities that help them grow mentally, socially, emotionally and physically in classroom. Services are focused on the mission of the agency to assist children and families to become lifelong learners, fostering the development of the child within the family and the family within the community. Approximately 70 children were served during the year.
The maternal, infant, and early childhood home visiting (miechv) program for rural home visiting provides education and social services to children and families ages 0-3 and pregnant women, providing education and guidance to needed resources for parents and guardians. Approximately 49 children were served during the year.
The child and adult food care program (cacfp) provides meals to enrolled children in all of the organization's programs. This ensure the organization can provide nutritious meals to children while participating in the program. During the year, the organization served 35,781 meals to children.
