Okipe Inc

There is an orphanage on the Haitian Island of La Gonave started about 15 years ago. After the 2010 Port-Au-Prince earthquake, there was an influx of orphaned children to the island. The orphanage took in many of these children but quickly ran out of space. A group of people with connections to the island decided to support the orphanage by forming "The Jesus Home for Children of La Gonave". An exempt organization was formed in 2015 to accept donations to help these children. The donations collected are used each month to feed, clothe and educate children who live in the orphanage. "Okipe" means "to look after" in Haitian Creole as Okipe is helping to look after the children of Haiti.
