Mission
The Old Dominion Emergency Medical Services Alliance is an integral part of Virginia's Comprehensive Emergency Medical Services System. We provide access, identify, coordinate, plan and implement an efficient and effective regional EMS delivery system in partnership with other agencies.

Grant from VA Office of EMS. Reviewed, revised and distributed EMS Protocols for all levels of EMS Certifications in service area. Distributed Regional EMS Plan, Trauma Triage Plan, EMS MCI (Disaster/WMD) Plan, EMS Hospital Diversion Plan for service area. Coordinated Regional Q.A. Program for general EMS responses. Provided training for regional EMS continuing education. Also reviewed Rescue Squad Assistance Fund Grants and Coop Plan Annually.
The Organization offered classes to prospective and continuing EMS providers in Basic Life Support, Prehospital Trauma Life Support, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and other courses as appropriate.
