Sentara Healthcare Program: The Ole School Scholarship Fund (the Fund) - in partnership with Sentara Healthcare, continued to provide financial assistance (scholarships, tuition, stipends, books, miscellaneous fees, supplies/equipment) to and in support of underserved\underrepresented healthcare service industry students (and students in supporting majors) participating in the Ole School Scholarship Fund Recruitment Program at James Madison University. This year, the Fund provided support including: (1) Sentara Summer Camp student stipends ($25,000); (2) other student stipends ($7,425); (3) scholarships ($13,500); (4) miscellaneous fees and books ($2,000); (5) Ghana Summer Scholarship and Operational Support ($11,000); 6) Ole School Scholarship Fund Operational Support ($7,552); (7) Student Study Abroad Programs ($4,800); (8) etc..
Ole School Alumni Owusu-Ansah (JMU) Experiential Summer Scholarship (Ghana Summer Scholarship): Provided two $5,000 scholarships to JMU students for the annual summer trip to Ghana with other students (led by a JMU professor)
Other Financial Assistance to JMU students: (1) Provided $4,968 as part of Ole School Scholarship underserved / underrepresented program in partnership with JMU and ERP Corporation (and its affiliates). (2) Provided a $2,500 student scholarship in partnership with Ernst & Young. (3) Provided a $5,000 student scholarship for Experiential Learning in partnership with Freddie Mac.
Steve and Nora Crouch JMU Alumni Donations: Provided (1) support to a JMU student to provide housing in support of their Internship at Boston University (($5,621) and (2) student stipend for a student study abroad program (Japan; $1,500)
