Mission

The primary exempt purpose of the society is to bring persons together who are interested in the history that influenced the development of the olmsted area of northeast ohio, to discover and collect artifacts which illustrate the history of the area, to preserve such artifacts and to make them available to all who wish to examine them, to cooperate with officials in ensuring the preservation and accessibility of the records and archives of the olmsted area, to understand the preservation is historic buildings and the dissemination of historical inforamtion. To further this purpose, the olmsted historical society manages the frostville museum, a 19th century village located in the clevealnd metroparks rocky river reservation.
