Omicron delta kappa is a leadership honor society which recognizes and encourages exemplary character, responsible leadership and service, superior scholarship, genuine fellowship and the promotion of democratic ideals.

Conferences & meetings---in addition to the board of trustees, omicron delta kappa benefits from the activities of a student advisory board. Conferences and meetings facilitate the implementation of the adopted long range plan which has as its goals 1) increase membership and enhance member participation 2) advance leadership education 3) develop strategic alliances 4) strengthen and enhance programs 5) diversify and increase revenue 6) recruit and retain personnel and volunteers and 7) increase charitable resources.

Visitation and support to "circles" at individual colleges and universities including the initiation and recognition of new members. The program is particularly attentive to circles that are at risk or declining in activity.
