Mission
One america movement supports faith leaders and faith communities to build a more united american society by eliminating toxic polarization.
Programs
5 programs
Faith networks - these networks bring leaders together within their faith tradition to address the ways polarization impacts their congregations. In a polarized society, moral leadership can be frightening and lonely, but one americas faith networks provide resources, relationships, and renewal for clergy and lay leaders so they can lead with confidence in divisive times.
Faith over division - the program provides faith and lay leaders with tools and resources to address the effects of americas divisions in their congregations and communities. The initiative of the one america movement is focused on expanding our broad-based coalition of faith communities by providing online learning, public workshops, and practical tools for addressing polariztion.
External engagement - this effort builds relationships with national denominations, faith-based institutions, social scientists, and bridge-building organizations to build momentum and bring new partners into the work of the program areas.
Program support - this program provides support and coordination for one americas three main initiatives and external engagement.
Special projects - these are annual variable activities that fall outside one america movements main program categories. This year, special projects included a focus on communications, absorbing some of the work of cross the lines, another organization doing work on toxic polarization with religious organizations, and a focus on organizational security, including cyber security, event security, and personal security for employees and event participants.
