Oneworld now! Offers summer language and leadership camps in seattle, wa. During the 2023 fiscal year, the camp ran for four weeks from 9 am to 4 pm, and offered modern standard arabic, korean, and mandarin chinese. Students earned 1 year of language credit. The camp focused on fostering language acquisition, intercultural understanding, and a desire for international travel. During the camp, students learned basic writing, reading, listening, and speaking skills in classes using immersion methodology. The camp also introduced students to practices and perspectives of the culture they studied, as well as the leadership skills that will enable them to grow as youth leaders with a global perspective. Students learned through classroom activities, guest speakers, cultural activities, and international meals. The students served were of the same demographics as those in 4a above.

Annually, oneworld now! Awards scholarship-based study abroad opportunities to its students. Through the study abroad program, students embark on a life-changing journey to develop intercultural leadership skills, practice language skills, and experience immersion learning on a chaperoned learning experience abroad. During the 2023 fiscal year, oneworld now! Supported 15 students in applying for and meeting costs of joining into programs with 4 partner agencies: ciee, student diplomacy corps, experiment in international living and nsli-y. In addition, we also organized our own study abroad program, bringing 13 students to kyrgyzstan for home-stays and cultural experiences, in this program, too, oneworld now! Prioritizes students historically underrepresented in study abroad learning. We offer needs-based scholarships of as much as 85%, depending on the family situation. In most cases, the student would not have the opportunity to study abroad or fulfill their desire for international education.
