The foundation coordinates research and development activities undertaken as cooperative and publication of interface specifications, development of engineer and conformance testing and other services and tools for the standard interface.
Certification and conformance testing: the foundation developed a worldwide conformance and certification program to test suppliers products for conformance to the opc standard interface. Certification and conformance testing of products is conducted by vendors desiring to obtain an opc certification. Certified products may use the name and certification mark
