Open Paths Counseling Center

Community partnership therapy program (cptp) offers culturally affirming, trauma-informed therapists to social services and educational organizations serving low-income, under-resourced communities in los angeles at their location, our location, or via telehealth. Open paths has become a preferred provider of psychotherapy for nonprofits serving marginalized, under-resourced communities due to the diversity, quality of care, and professionalism of our clinical team.

Clinical training program - our clinical training program offers a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience for aspiring mental health professionals. Trainees gain the opportunity to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds, including children, couples, and families, under the guidance of highly experienced supervisors with deep subject matter expertise. The program includes triadic and group supervision opportunities, access to a wide range of professional trainings in the field of psychology, and specialized training in areas such as intimate partner violence, support for unhoused populations, and work with justice-involved or dcfs-involved clients. It also provides lgbtqi+ affirmative and multicultural training for culturally responsive care. Trainees have the chance to facilitate group therapy, including the option to start their own therapy group (with approval), and gain experience providing school-based or community-based services. This program is designed to prepare trainees for successful careers in the mental health field, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
