Foster the development, adoption, and compliance of the Open Automated Demand Response standards through collaboration, education, training, testing and certification.

Collaborate with SDOs and user groups for the continued enhancements of the OpenADR profile specification. Collaborate with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), and other government agencies to expand the adoption of OpenADR.The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has approved the OpenADR 2.0b Profile Specification as a full IEC standard, to be known as IEC 62746-10-1 ED1.In 2020, a new project, openLEADR, was launched. This project creates an open source implementation of OpenADR.In 2021, OpenADR2.0 standard were accepted by BSI.In 2022, OpenADR attacts members from the automotive and associated sectors.In 2024, LonMark International serve as a hub for alternate suppliers of tools and components supporting LonWorks technology.
Facilitate OpenADR programs among utilities and system operators through case studies, specifications and industry best practices. Conduct and provide education and training sessions to help facilitate the development and adoption of OpenADR products and programs.
