Community Engagement and Education: Opera Lafayette is committed to inspiring a public appreciation for forgotten repertoire through audience engagement programs for people of all ages. During the FY24 season, Opera Lafayette presented educational events at DMV institutions such as George Mason University, the Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital, Tregaron Conservancy, and Stanford in Washington; in NY, our events were hosted at Villa Albertine, the Children's Museum of Manhatten and the United Palace theater. We also presented our online adult learning Salon Series, engaging patrons from the United States and beyond, hosted free pre-show discussions prior to each performance, and commissioned and published a collection of academic essays to complement our season, which are freely available to the public online.

Expenses: $174K

Recording Initiative: As part of our ongoing mission to create and preserve a legacy of rediscovered works, Opera Lafayette created archival recordings of all performances which took place throughout the year.
