Mission
Opportunity For All Floridians advocates for hardworking Floridians by championing economic policies that put people over profits ensuring that everyday residents benefit more than large corporations and special interests. We are committed to advancing fair transparent policies directly impacting Floridians financial well-being empowering them to thrive in a balanced equitable economy.
Programs
4 programs
We ran a public education program in support of Floridas current net metering rules which provide fair compensation for residents who generate excess electricity on their private property. These policies empower Floridians to contribute clean energy to the grid while also enabling them to gain a level of energy independence.
We ran a public education program to protect Floridians right to amend their constitution through ballot initiatives ensuring citizens can address critical issues when government remains unresponsive. We believe in empowering residents to drive change on key economic and social challenges from fair utility rates to environmental protections. By defending this fundamental right we are committed to fostering a more responsive government and a resilient economically vibrant Florida.
We ran a texting campaign to Gainesville Florida residents about the state of Floridas takeover of their regional public utility Gainesville Regional Utility nad how this could impact their electricity bills.
We ran an educational awareness program on why electricity rates are skyrocketing. We collaborated with the Environmental Defense Fund on the volatility of natural gas prices and Floridas dependence on natural gas for electricity production.
