The organization's purpose is to provide scholarships for young ladies on the eastern shore through recognition of various skills displayed in the dogwood pageant. The top scoring ladies will become dogwood trail maids. As dogwood trail maids, the ladies will develop leadership skills and be goodwill abmassadors for the eastern shore community. The club promotes community service and high moral values.
