Programs

1 program

Early intervention - desert voices is arizona's only nonprofit, independent school dedicated to teaching listening and spoken language (lsl) to children with hearing loss and their families. We provide services to children ages birth to five through our early intervention and early education programs. Our comprehensive lsl program includes little listeners, jump start, toddler class, preschool, and kindergarten. Each family starts in the little listeners program, where a lsl professional helps families understand their child's hearing loss and learn strategies to foster language development. Next, families transition to jump start, which is a "parent and me" class providing more opportunities for language acquisition alongside other families. Around age 2, children advance to the toddler class, where they engage in twice weekly small group sessions designed to expand their skills through play.
