To provide child advocacy and community protection by providing leadership and direction for oregon's juvenile justice system, enhancing the ability of communities to reduce juvenile crime, aligning and integrating state and local justice policies, creating policy based on research and effective practices, promoting organizational and staff development in juvenile justice agencies, developing, sharing, and implementing juvenile justice information, research, and evidence-based practices.
