To empower young people to be brave and empathetic by creating quality theatrical experiences.

Theatre education & outreach:orlando family stage uses theatre as a powerful tool for learning, helping children develop confidence, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. More than 2,000 students each year (from infancy through 12th grade) participate in our camps and classes, and other in school programs bring arts-integrated lessons into classrooms to foster creativity and social-emotional growth. To expand access, our no empty seat initiative provides free or reduced-cost field trips for title i schools, and scholarships awarded more than $25,000 in fy25 to ensure every child can participate. We also equip educators through engaged learning through the arts, professional development that integrates theatre into all subject areas, (continue on schedule o)and partner with nonprofits through arts and character training (act) to use theatre for literacy, social justice, and character building. In partnership with the university of central florida, we host one of the nation's premiere mfa programs in theatre for young audiences, offering hands-on training in a professional setting and preparing graduates for leadership roles at major institutions including the kennedy center and first stage.

Theatre spaces & rentals:orlando family stage's three-theatre complex is both our artistic home and a vital community resource. In addition to hosting our professional productions and youth programming, the complex serves as a laboratory for university of central florida students in the theatre for young audiences mfa program and provides performance and rehearsal space for a range of partners. Each year, local schools, universities, and nonprofit organizations, including the orlando international fringe festival, ucp of central florida, and boys to men mentoring, utilize our stages for performances, workshops, and community events. By offering space and production resources at reduced or at-cost rates, orlando family stage strengthens (continue on schedule o)the cultural ecosystem of central florida, ensuring that artists, educators, and community groups have access to professional-quality facilities that support their work.
