Mission
We nurture connections between people,nature,and food by ensuring access to garden space and farmland, and providing education and mentoring on regenerative and sustainable agricultural practices.
Programs
4 programs
Farm Accelerator provides venue, training, logistical support, and market access to 40 immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs. Farmers in this program provided 100% of the vegetables for a season long CSA serving 50 families and 100% of the produce sold at the Rockwoods People's Market (Farmers Market).
Direct Support provides emergency and supplemental food resouces including locally sourced fresh produce, eggs, and fish to food-insecured household in the Portland metro area.
Community Garden Operations provides the organization and management of 7 acres of food-producing garden plots at 12 sites, located in low-income neighborhoods of the Portland (OR) Metro Area. Approximately 450 unique households particapted in 2024, of which aprox. 400 are refuge status. We provide supports such as access to land, water, tools, seeds, fertilizer, and classes.
Sponsored Projects provides nonprofit fiscal sponsorship and financial management to independently governed organizations which do not have nonprofit status.
