Organized to develop, foster, promote, & protect programs for the general welfare including economic, social, & political well being of farm people.

Agriculture leadership activities the overton county farm bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural, civic, & community organizations. Leaders attend district, state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications, and agricultural activities.
Youth education efforts annually the overton county farm bureau remains involved as part of the oversight of agricultural youth development in the area. The efforts inclued outreach to rural suburban and urban youth. The overton county farm bureau assists manning and funding a agriculture education field day for elementary school children that spotlights and stresses how important agriculture is to national safety and sustainability.
