The Oyster Bay Main Street Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a healthy economy in an attractive hamlet, while maintaining the downtown's historic integrity. We engage the public and private sectors to revitalize the heart of Oyster Bay through responsible preservation, beautification, community events, educational outreach, and business development.

Seasonal Decorations- The organization decorated the lamp posts of the downtown business district with 168 hanging baskets in the summer and 168 wreaths in the winter. The organization also purchases the holiday decorations and Christmas Tree in the center of the downtown. OBMSA installs and maintains all decorations.

Community Events-Throughout the year OBMSA organizes free events in the downtown to help foster a sense of community, bring people together, and encourage our members to shop local. We host a variety of events, including: The Oyster Bay MarkeDancing in the Street, Boo-tiques By the Bay, and the Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting.t,

Expenses: $11K

Gold Coast Book Fair: Long Island's largest annual literary event, with 75 authors, thousands of readers, panels, book signings, workshops, and a festive marketplace with food and vendors. Produced by the non-profit organization, Gold Coast Forum, it takes place over the course of one weekend on the campus of LIU Post and in downtown Oyster Bay. It is free to attend, with activities for readers of all ages.
