ARPA Cluster (CFDA 21.027). Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council was awarded as a sub-award under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLRF) from Thurston County, WA. These funds were used to support the workforce and nonprofits in recovery activities including employment support programs. These grants were used to work with Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to provide meaningful job opportunities to local persons who are unemployed or underemployed.
WIA National Emergency Grants (CFDA 17.277). This is the Opioid Disaster NDWG and the QUEST Disaster Recovery DWG. The Opioid grant focused on outreach to opioid-impacted and at-risk individuals, connecting 235 participants to career services, training, work experience, and supportive services, with 129 entering unsubsidized employment. The QUEST grant supported economic recovery efforts by engaging local employers and strengthening sector partnerships, enrolling 99 participants in career services and 65 in training, resulting in 57 training completions and 37 individuals entering employment.
We are funded for other programs that are related to assisting individuals with barriers to employment to either find or be trained for available jobs. Other programs provide disaster relief employment and training and support to job seekers.
