Mission
We are a nonprofit company of artists and performers from communities overlooked in mainstream society. Pnwqaf supports queer artists hosted through the annual queer/pride festival we help to sponsor. Our collective places an emphasis on elevating those traditionally left out of mainstream culture, sharing knowledge to increase equitable opportunities for queer artists. Pnwqaf builds community by creating a welcoming space for everyone in the lgbtqia+ and qtbipoc spectrum to perform and be paid well to do so. We provide management skills training to collective members, increasing the capacity of queer people to thrive fiscally and responsibly as contract works and artists. In addition, pnwqaf supports queer artists hosted throughout queer/pride festivities. The organization allows sponsorship support to be paid to contract performers that adds festival rate pay to support year long sustainment of working queer or spectrum artists.
