The community outreach program combines adult english as a second language esl classes with a youth summer reading initiative to promote literacy and lifelong learning. Esl participants build communication skills that enhance employability and community engagement while the summer reading program encourages children to maintain literacy growth outside of the school year through interactive lessons and family reading activities. Together these efforts strengthen education inclusion and community connection across all ages.

The store also provides vouchers for individuals and families in need ensuring access to basic necessities regardless of financial ability. All proceeds from thrift store sales are reinvested directly into community assistance programs helping cover medication costs doctor visits emergency utility payments and other critical needs for local residents. The thrift store serves both as a resource for affordable goods and as a vital funding source for the hubs broader mission of supporting community wellbeing and stability.
