The infant care program welcomes little ones from six weeks to first steps. This program assists parents to return to work after the birth of their newborn. Pre-school and pre-k children continue to learn self-care, early literacy, and interpersonal skills through fun activities. Three qualified child caregivers provide opportunities for the 14 toddlers to transition into their preschool-hood. Children use all of their senses as they learn about the world around them. The head start promotes school readiness for children, ages three to five, in low-income families by offering educational, nutritional, health, social, and other services. Head start programs enhance the social and cognitive development of children and actively engage families in their childrens learning so that children will be successful in kindergarten.
