Mission

Pamoja art society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to celebrating african-american culture, serving artists, and building a stronger community. The organization was founded in 1977 by a talented group of artists from northwest louisiana. Today, pamoja is a multi-discipline arts organization that serves more than 5,000 children and adults each year. Pamoja cultural arts center is the venue for pamoja's programs and a wide variety of community activities. The center is a leader in community development and the revitalization of the linwood village, a small, quaint business district in central shreveport.
