Fye program service accomplishments overall: during bpva's 52nd year as a veteran's service organization, we carried out our mission of improving the lives of our members. We did this by awarding accessible home modification grants, hand control grants, and by providing financial support to our members who needed emergency assistance. In the spring, we participated in pva's advocacy week in washington dc, meeting with several of ohio's congresspeople and representatives to discuss the needs of our disabled veterans. We supported adaptive sports, including hosting the 2024 buckeye wheelchair games at spire academy in geneva, ohio where nearly 60 wheelchair athletes competed in adaptive events. We also hosted a wheelchair billiards competition later that spring. We communicate regularly with our members throughout the state by sharing a comprehensive quarterly newsletter, the buckeye banner, and by holding quarterly general membership meetings-- most recently in person at va locations around the state as well as virtual. We continue to successfully manage the willoughby hills office building we purchased in december 2021, which is a great location for our bpva office.
