Parent heart watch is the national voice solely dedicated to protecting children and young adults from sudden cardiac arrest and preventable sudden cardiac death by educating and advocating for change.

Equipping caregivers/outreach - this initiative aims to change the standard of care in preventing sudden cardiac arrest and death in children and young adults by fostering a culture of prevention where they live, learn, and play. Our vision is to eliminate preventable deaths and disabilities from sudden cardiac arrest, honoring the more than 23,000 families who lose a child to sca each year. Many of these families have joined our national movement to protect young hearts. They are supported by thousands of allies and advocates advancing the core pillars of this prevention initiative.

Educational advocacy - parent heart watch (phw) educates stakeholders in the parent, school, sports, and medical communities on the need for improved cardiac risk assessment and emergency preparedness to prevent sudden cardiac arrest in children and young adults. Phw presents annually at national and international conferences and forge partnerships to advance prevention efforts. Phw collaborates on research to inform policy change and co-authors expert articles to promote the adoption of prevention protocols.
