The MISSION of the PARKINSON RESEARCH FOUNDATION is to help find a cure for Parkinsons disease through funding research, while providing education and services that improve the quality of life today for Parkinson patients and their caregivers.

Education Outreach Programs: The Parkinson Research Foundation (PRF) provides educational resources and support to individuals affected by Parkinsons disease, their caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Through its website, www.parkinsonhope.org, PRF disseminates up-to-date research findings, treatment advancements, and essential resources to improve patient care and disease management.

Expenses: $426K

Parkinson Research Foundation funds Parkinson Place Center for All Movement Disorders, a 9,000 sq ft comprehensive care center dedicated exclusively to the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of people with all movement disorders, their families and caregivers. Evidence-based programs support a better life today for those living with movement disorders. The integrative program offers over 100 free classes each month including Yoga, Tai Chi, Pedaling, Dance, Speech, Music, Boxing, and Fitness. Educational programs are held twice weekly with free lunch provided. Support groups include Circle of Support, Peer Enrichment, Empowered Living, and Caregivers Support Group.

Parkinson Research Foundation funds research at the Neurogeneration Institute. Research at the NRI aims to elucidate which molecules can solve the lipid problem that causes Parkinsons disease and some forms of dementia.Parkinson Research Foundation provides funds to Parkinson Place to study the impact on quality of life for individuals with Parkinsons disease and their caregivers attending Parkinson Place Center in partnership with Keiser Universitys MSOT program.
