Mission
The mission of the Partnership for Gulf Coast Land Conservation is to increase the pace, quality, and permanence of voluntary land and water conservation in the Gulf of Mexico region.
Programs
3 programs
Reforestation Program (Arbor Day Foundation Grants) restores forested landscapes that provide ecosystem and climate resiliency, linking habitats to preserve species biodiversity and provide wildlife corridors. A watershed-scale or landscape approach, its focused on connecting and restoring a diversity of habitats for species and resource benefit while recognizing the economic importance and long silviculture across the region. Host to some of the highest biodiversity of terrestrial and aquatic species, these habitats aid in carbon sequestration, maintain natural hydrologic cycles, and improve water quality and quantity.
Nature Disaster and Recovery Program (Hazard Fuel Load Reduction) works with our conservation members, federal, state, and local partners, and and landowners to facilitate resource recovery. From land clearing, mulching, thinning, vegetation management, and installation of fire breaks, to reforestation efforts, we partner with these organizations and provide the best possible support to our communities and landowners during their time of greatest need.
