To provide a place of inclusion for Black Americans and Caribbean immigrants that builds and nurtures strong, resilient communities by empowering families and developing youth leaders through a Christ centered approach.

In 2023, Passionate Heart Ministries (PHM) launched its Young Heart Leadership Tutoring and Mentoring Program after receiving its first grant from the Orange County Commission for Children. This two-year grant provides $50,000 annually to support academic and social development for students in grades 1 through 8. Through this funding, PHM delivered more than 2,700 hours of tutoring and mentoring services. Students and parents reported measuring improvement in academic performance, including gains in reading, math and science, as well as enhanced social skills and confidence. PHMs tutoring program help improve 85% of its 58 program participants grades. The program directly advances PHMs mission to empower youth and strengthen family success within the community.

Passionate Heart Ministries, Inc. (PHM) strengthens its impact in the Pine Hills and South Apopka communities through the support of key partners, including Southern Power Fund, Sunshine Health, and Florida Rising. These contribuions enabled PHM to provide emergency financial assistance to more than 25 families affected by Hurricanes Milton (2024) and Ian (2022). Throughout the year, PHM served over 150 families by distributing nonperishable food items and providing holiday support, including Thanksgiving food baskets and Christmas toys for children. These efforts directly advanced PHMs mission to support families in need and promote stability within the community.

Through its partnership with The Center for Multicultural Wellnes and Prevention, PHM supported community education and prevention efforts related to MPOX. PHM conducted outreach activities focused on increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and connecting affected individuals to appropriate health resources. As a program partner, PHM helped provide culturally sensitive information, facilitated referrals for testing, and vaccination, and reached more than 150 community members through workshops, outreach education, tabling events, and one-on-one engagement. This collaboration strenghten PHMs commitment to promoting public health and supporting vulnerable populations within the community it serves.
