Mission

The Patagonia Regional Aquatics Center PRAC is dedicated to supporting the Patagonia Union High School PUHS public pool ensuring its operation maintenance and enhancement. Through various fundraising activities donations collections and grants PRAC secures funds to sustain and upgrade the PUHS pool benefiting students residents and visitors in Patagonia AZ and eastern Santa Cruz County. The programs offered at PUHS pool play a vital role in enhancing the mental and physical well-being as well as fostering social interactions among participants. Notably the acquisition and installation of a pool heater in 2023 have extended the pools operational season enabling year-round access and enjoyment for all users. The PUHS pool began as a joint operation of Patagonia School Districts and Town of Patagonia. Neither can support the operation of the pool any longer and thus Patagonia Regional Aquatics Center was formed to keep it open.
