Popl provided financial support to fund educational programming for various library activities, as well as special educational supplies not provided for in the library budget. For example, popl supported the 47th annual author-illustrator series, which features notable childrens authors and illustrators. The program includes a presentation by the author and illustrator, and a book signing. Additionally, popl supported the 19th spring one book one community initiative, which encourages people from all walks of life to read and then discuss a single book. Popl also provided incentives for children who completed reading 1,000 books before kindergarten and 1,000 books beyond kindergarten.
Popl provided financial support to fund the librarys annual summer reading program, which encourages all ages to read and track their reading by providing incentives (gift certificates) and prizes for the top readers at each branch. Additionally, popl provided financial support to help fund educational programming for the series. The series includes an entire summer of free programs, workshops, storytimes, concerts, and performances for all ages.
