Programs

Pegasus operates an autism program to meet the growing need for services for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. Many in the medical community believe that there is a special connection between horses and children with autism because both interpret the world in pictures. As the bond grows between child and animal, progress such as improved communication, social skills, and behavior become possible in many cases. This program accomodates 12 riders per week.
