During the summer, peninsula youth sailing foundation holds 1-2 week long summer camps for youth (8 to 18 years old). Classes range from basic sailing instruction and safety to more advanced racing tactics. We had approximately 300 youth participate in summer camps in 2024.
Peninsula youth sailing foundation provides instruction on maritime safety, sailing and sailboat racing through coaching after school and on weekends for youth ages 8-18 years old. Students learn to sail various sailboats and learn basic sailing instructions and safety, and progress to compete as part of a team in high school regattas throughout california. Additionally, junior racing provides an opportunity for sailors to learn how to sail in optimist, 420 and laser sailboats and to compete in regattas throughout the us in the fall season. We had over 130 youth sail in the fall season in 2024.
