Mission
To enhance the economic development of the pennsylvania poultry, swine, lamb, sheep, and goat industries through focused research, innovation, diagnostics, and outreach education efforts.
Programs

The center funds research that meets industry need, as identified by producer feedback and leadership insight. Research projects are related to either small ruminants, swine or poultry.
Enhance animal agriculture infrastructure in pennsylvania, including knowledge and expansion of diagnostic tools and uses within universities; and workforce development support (appreticeship, internships)and veterinarian support. Certain research project grant funds specifically related to these accomplishments are included under this program service.
Food safety and quality assurance - ensure measures are in place to protect food supply and ensure food safety related to animal agriculture in pennsylvania.
