Mission
Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light is a community of congregations, other faith-based organizations, and individuals of faith responding to climate change as an ethical and moral issue, through education, advocacy, energy conservation, energy stewardship, and the use and promotion of clean, renewable energy.
Programs

Conservation: Work on native tree distribution and planting through an engaged network of volunteers. Other habitat restoration practices include clean ups, watershed management and invasive species removal.
Advocacy: Development of educational materials on current federal, state and local environmental policies and regulations. Communication of materials to members, participants in PA IPL programs and at times to legislators. Limited constituent-focused meetings with elected officials.
Bike & Hike Journey: Annual program to engage supporters in connecting with others with similar interests in their region, touring PA outdoors, fundraising, and advocacy. Riders and hikers commit to journeying a certain number of miles throughout the month of May with events held across the state.
Annual Conference: Gathering of faith-based individuals and organizations for a half-day conference consisting of a plenary session/keynote address and workshops focused on spiritual and practical responses to climate change.
