Pennsylvania Society Of Anesthesiologists

The mission of the pennsylvania society of anesthesiologists is to stimulate interest and encourage progress in the specialty of anesthesiology. The psa works to achieve these goals with annual scientific meetings, philanthropic endeavors with communities across the commonwealth and advocacy for the profession of anesthesiology. Psa held a scientific meeting in march 2024 in philadelphia, numerous board members attend federal legislative events in washington dc, meeting with legislators in april 2024. Psa continues to engage with pennsylvania legislators to support development of anesthesia assistant programs and to strongly oppose continuing legislation regarding certified nurse anesthetists' ability to work unsupervised. The psa feels strongly this would compromise patient safety.
