Community health workers in lincoln county/unm: program revenue 0; expenses 59,032 we were pleased to receive an 18-month grant from unm department of community health, to provide services in lincoln county and to the mescalero apache tribe. The purpose of the grant was to employ community health workers to help inform the community of the 988 crisis line; to map out community behavioral health assets; to provide community members with resources, and also reduce mental health stigma. During 2024 we had three staff members serving as community health workers, 1 full-time and 2 part- time. Chws supported community members on individual basis, networked with many community agencies, spearheaded community events, participated in the mescalero food pantry, helped create educational activities for preschool parents, and networked with enmu community dinner participants. This grant funding cycle ended at the end of june 2024 but we offered some services due to the fires and floods which greatly impacted ruidoso at the end of june.

We expanded our prevention and education services throughout the state of new mexico, particularly adding services to the southern and rural parts of nm at the request of rganm. With the addition of a new staff member, we expanded our digital and in person outreach to enhance community awareness of the issue. Four clients were served in 2024. In addition, we held two sets of online money management classes, which were unfortunately not well attended. Funds were used for health fairs, canvassing, radio ads, facebook and website posts and blogs, and many other activities. Two of our staff members were asked to present at three icrg conferences during 2024, sharing expertise with local and national professionals.

Expenses: $98K

Online groups and classes revenue 0, expenses 2,113 we continued to provide an online caregiver support group through mid- september 2024, utilizing funding received from presbyterian foundation and individual donors. Our caregiver support group had a committed set of participants, who attended virtually from 8 counties in the state. Our participant base expanded slightly throughout the year. The group was paused after september, partially due to facilitator schedule and partially due to lack of funding. We began to network with a new agency, family caregiver center of nm, in order to provide cross referrals. Teen project: no work continued for this project in 2024. We still offer our mini brochure to teens during health fairs or other community events. Financial caregiving: we did not offer any further classes. Our revenue was expended in 2023. Telehealth expansion: this program phased out in 2023.
