Pasf's goals are to encourage, nurture, and support young musicians in the santa barbara county area. We do this through an annual competition where qualifying participants perform to win grant money to further their musical careers or support their musical training. Pasf has four award divisions (having added one this past year): adult instrumental, junior instrumental, adult vocal and junior vocal. We continue to hear from past winners of their successes in the pursuit of the performing arts as a career path. Recent winners are appearing on stages across europe and the united states to great acclaim. Many of our winners find work in orchestras around the globe, teach music in high schools or colleges, or they become arts administrators for classical music organizations.
