Outreach: the institute hosted numerous public events, in-person and online, in washington, d.c. And around the world, to share our research and invite discussion. We hold these sessions to inform a broad range of interested parties and encourage vigorous debate and exchange of different points of views to enrich the broader population's understanding of complex issues. Participants included piie scholars and outside experts from academia, think tanks, embassies, government, and organizations including the international monetary fund, the world bank, the world trade organization, the bank for international settlements, the council on foreign relations, and the world economic forum. The audience for these events came, similarly, from academia, business, government, international organizations, and the media.
Publications: to share the institute's research with the widest possible audience, piie published our work on our website in various formats, including research papers, charts, blogposts, podcasts, and video interviews, all available to the public. We distributed the work further through our weekly email newsletter and on social media. We recorded millions of piie.com web views and more than 100,000 followers of our various social media accounts. Institute scholars also wrote opinion articles for outside publications, gave speeches to various gatherings, and provided expert testimony at the invitation of us and other government offices. Piie experts gave numerous interviews to journalists and were cited by major us and international media, as well as by regional and local american news outlets. Our scholars shared their findings with the public via television, radio, online, telephone, email, in print, and via newswire services.
Communications - the institute creates audiovisual materials, interactive graphics, email newsletters, educational materials, and social media content to deepen the public's and policymakers' understanding of the international economic issues discussed.
