Mission

In memory of Peter Zippi, a young man dedicated to the care of animals. Our mission is to network to end homeless pets through the intake and safe placement of cats and kittens and provision of financial aid to community members for spay and neuter.

The Organization trained 14 new volunteers in 2024. Volunteers play a vital role in socializing cats, caring for in-house animals, and ensuring they receive the attention and care they need. Additionally, they assist the community by answering hotline calls, providing information on affordable veterinary services and rehoming resources, and distributing pet food and supplies as inventory permits. Volunteers also serve as Adoption Counselors, offering valuable insights into shelter cat personalities to help potential adopters find the right match Some volunteers foster cats and kittens in their homes, providing essential care and socialization in a home environment. Furthermore, volunteers manage key aspects of our free spay-neuter events, including booking appointments, checking in participants, and ensuring smooth operations throughout the day. They also oversee our voucher program, carefully reviewing applications for accuracy, making necessary corrections, and approving them ahead of scheduled appointments with our clinic partners.

Expenses: $527

Our organization provides financial assistance to community members through a free monthly spay-neuter event and an ongoing voucher program. Our monthly event is designed to cover the cost of spaying or neutering community, feral, and personal cats. Additionally, our voucher program makes affordable spay-neuter accessible to individuals managing community cat colonies, caring for stray cats, and seeking services for their personal pets. In 2024, our spay-neuter initiatives helped nearly 1,950 animals receive spay-neuter surgeries. This includes 1,689 feral, stray, and owned cats and dogs through our voucher program alone. While our goal is to hold monthly spay-neuter events, availability is dependent on veterinarians. In 2024, we hosted a total of six events, funding 260 spay-neuter surgeries, 205 vaccines, and 40 flea treatments. These efforts significantly contributed to population control and promoted responsible pet ownership within our community.
