The society supports it's members by:1. Advancing petroleum accounting and auditing;2. Furthering the development of improved accounting methods, processes and procedures;3. The support and involvement in development of copas model form accounting procedures;4. Continuing to advance the standing of the profession of petroleum accounting;5. Preserve and enforce the ethics of the profession of petroleum accounting; 6. Provide social networking opportunities for petroleum accountants and cpas who work with companies affiliated with the oil and gas industry; and7. Provide educational opportunities for individuals and firms doing accounting and auditing work for companies and individuals with oil and gas interests and/or operations.
