Peyvand

Peyvand (Persian for Union) is a nonprofit organization working at the intersection of culture, identity and belonging. We build bridges across communities in the Greater Seattle area through inclusive arts and cultural engagement rooted in Iranian, Central Asia and Middle Eastern (SWANA) traditions. We foster community building and encourage cross-cultural understanding through arts with a special focus on underrepresented immigrant and multicultural youth and their families. By creating inclusive spaces we celebrate heritage and empower participants through arts programming, including storytelling, arts & culture exhibitions, and educational workshops. Our programs provide youth with opportunities for creative expression, identity affirmation and community engagement. Peyvand's mission is to help the underrepresented youth and their families realize their potential through community building, education Opportunities and enrichment resources.
