Committees' program: committees are organized to address issues encountered by teachers. Topics include minority affairs, social affairs, teacher's safety, and government relations.

Governance: supports the officers and leaders that are responsible for the development, implementation and interpretation of the association's policies and bylaws, while fulfilling oversight and governance responsibilities effectively. Financial, technical and other support are provided for the annual meetings of the national and state affiliates, where the association's guiding policies are developed.

Communications: the association produces various publications informing the members of items of interest and importance to their profession. The association also produces various publications for the general public to help improve the image of teachers in the community.
